All about cloth … and cloth…

Before I get married, I never imagine that one day I will use cloth diaper for my children or any cloth pad for myself! But now everything in my life seems turning into cloths… Starts with cloth diapering.. cloth wipes… then cloth pads and now facial cloths! Why? ermm honestly, they really suite my life style! Ya, maybe some might think, “eeuwwww how gross?” but for me I can handle all the “grossy things” with no sweat! But I think maybe it just me, and I believe everyone got their own style and their own preference…

I started with only 2 cloth pads for the 1’st time trying… I bought 1 regular and 1 heavy flow Imse Vimse cloth pad. Why 2 only? hihihi Actually I plan to have another child and hoping that my period won’t come but I was wrong, which end up I bought some more pads from miabambina.com on the following month since I feel more comfortable with the dry and healthier feelings on it compare to dispo one.. Then I bought Mamapads and their panty liners! Now I also have Ultimate Heavy & regular flow Organic bamboo velour, Minkee Ultimates!, Endura pads and liners and also hemp silk liners. Lately I feel more comfortable using fully cloth pads during my period and cloth panty liner daily!…Let me share how do I wash them. Usually I’ll rinse the soiled pad first, then soak about 1-2 hours with Scarlet Secret before I wash them in washing machine together with my son cloth diaper. I don’t mind washing them all together since I also rinse all my son’s CD before I dump into my washing machine. Before Sandra gave me to try the Scarlet Secret last month, I just soak them with little bit of detergent actually, Trojan also works nicely to remove all the stain. But Scarlet Secret works more effectively which they always give “new look” and softens my cloth pad after few times washing! Amazing but truth!

Last few days, I started using facial cloth too! I used them for scrubbing, removing makeup and applying toner!They are great and also easy to wash! I used same method of washing as my cloth pad. I am not sure how much I can save costs by using this facial cloth since I can get cotton balls wipes easily and cheap, but in terms of my own satisfaction on using cloth, yes I am satisfy and happy enough to proceed using this facial cloths more and more in future!… and now I am really into cloth and cloth!

And here I show you my Happy Tushies Momma pad bag that I used for outing. There are two compartment to store clean and dirty pad separately… Very handy and useful. Since I know you…
.. my life is busy hanging around with you and your beautiful kids which I enjoy every moment of it
.. I have a new “gang makan!” which I always enjoy our eating time together! You are really food expert! you Rock!! hihihi
.. I know how to cook the original soto ayam, tiramisu and spaghetti bolognese!
.. I know how to put my makeup! true fact: the last time I did put on my makeup was on my wedding day! and all those makeup set for my hantaran never been used! pingsan!
.. I know how to do some exercise with Irfan so that he can use his muscle in correct way also I learned a lot from you how to buy a correct toys for my boy!
.. I start blogging and FS because of you! and since that moment also I know that my hubby also got his own FS!!!!
.. I know more and more and MORE about cloth diapering world! Even since I know you I feel lazy to surf about CD because I know the CD Guru is always here with me! hihihi
.. I’ve got back my courage and confident to drive alone ! Even to park in the small parking space! yayyyy.. thanks for being my co-pilot!
.. I watched movie in the cinema for the 1’st time with a ‘friend’ in KK! I won’t forget all the moment my heart stop beating many times while we watching “I am Legend” that day!!
.. I know how to eat “penjaram”! so yummy!
.. I have someone to share my life and my story morie!
.. I nearly burnt your kitchen! muahahahahahahaahaa
.. You make me upset to move back to peninsular later!
.. I have more and more memorable times that I can’t forget!
.. I have a new best friend known as TLSIR!
Thank God to give me an opportunity to meet this down to earth lady and so kind hearted lady I met so far since I moved in KK… My life now full filled of joys and happiness. Before? Yes I was happy too spending my life with hubby and Irfan but I missed all my friends in the meaning of “true friend”… Thank You for being my friend and may God Bless our friendship…

Thanks Sandra for tagging me. At least I have something to blog here… This holiday season really makes me lazy to blog. Since Aidil Adha on the 20th Dec until Christmas today 25th Dec me and DH just stay at home and makan! ya.. I ate a lot lately!! I had Ketupat, Rendang Ayam, Laksa Penang, Pannetone, cincau bandung, macaroni and cheese, soto ayam, chendol and ++ uwaahhhhh pingsan! Since I suka makan, so lantak lah! hihihiii

Cloth Wipes

I must share this photo!! Yesterday, when I was taking photo of my CD then suddenly came out of the idea taking photo of my cloth wipes pula! and end up with… which I think my cloth wipes photo look nicer then my CD photo! pingsan! LOL so… ? What do you think? Nice rite? not only the wipes of course, I mean the blue sky!! hihihi “masuk bakul angkat sendiri!” hihihi still thinking to upload my cloth pad photo also one day… BTW I hope, my grandchildren and our future generation also still be able to breath and see all those blue sky like what we have now…

Cloth Diapering in the Daycare

Last November, Irfan’s nanny moved to Miri and since that day Irfan stays in the nursery. At first I was a bit worried if the daycare taker refuse to use the cloth diaper on him. When first time I met the daycare taker and told them that my baby is using cloth diaper they thought I use traditional lampin. Only on the first day Irfan in the daycare they knew that is modern cloth diaper hehehe. At first they were a bit blur and confused, they thought they must change the insert only. Nevertheless, after I made some explanation and demonstration, the daycare taker seems more understand and look happier…and they are now enjoying it. After few weeks they asked…

The daycare taker: “mama Irfan, mana beli diaper Irfan ni, cute-cute ohhh, tidak nampak pun ada jual di Giant?!”
Mama Irfan: “hihihi i beli dari kawan tinggal di Damai, dia ada online store jual cloth diaper… Banyak lagi yang ada di jual nya! kakak cuba buka web www.miabambina.com”
The daycare taker: “ohh begitu. Kakak ni mahu introduce pada adik beradik kakak, tapi kakak tidak ada pakai sekarang, jadi kakak tunggu selepas kakak cuba, barulah kakak bagitahu mereka. Kakak tengok bagus ini diaper! Irfan punya pula nice-nice lah the prints”
Mama Irfan: “Ohhh iya… banyak lagi yang cantik prints nya kak, especially for baby girl! hihihi”
The daycare taker: “Kakak sekarang sudah 12 minggu pregnant, kalau kandungan kakak sudah 6 bulan nanti kakak mintak tolong mama Irfan bawa kakak beli boleh kan? Kakak mahu beli sikit-sikit”
Mama Irfan: “ya kak, boleh ajer! Nanti saya bawak… sebenarnya banyak lagi pilihan yang kakak boleh beli selain jenis poket dan AIO yang selalu saya pakaikan untuk Irfan. Di sana nanti kakak tengok… hihihi nanti kita cerita lagi ya kak, saya kena balik cepat hari ni”

Even the daycare owner talked to me the other day that she’ll use cloth diaper for her next baby! yayyy….!

Usually I will bring 3 or 4 cloth diapers to the daycare, which is normally I mix some pocket and All In One diaper. I will make sure the insert is already keep inside into the pocket! I also provide one All Day wet bag so that all used CD will go into the wet bag. The daycare taker usually rinse all the poo and if only others baby are in good mood then I can see they also help me rinse the pee as well!. (I teach them how to spray the CD to make their job easier…)Oh ya, I also provide them 3 wipes but usually they use it for wipes Irfan’s hand and mouth, not for the cleaning b** since they feel so “sayang” to use them for wipes poo hihihihi Well, so far so good, they don’t complaint and I am satisfied enough. And now one of my friend also start Cd’ing her daughter in the same daycare with my son! And they look happier because we are reducing their garbage though! . Now I would like to share irfan’s cloth diaper that I bring to the daycare…

Here are we are! 3 wipes, 1 All Day wet bag and 4 diapers! I’ll put them in Irfan’s nursery’s bag. And below is my pail liner… hihihi just want to show you where usually I keep all the used Cd at home… I wash my diaper everyday and sometimes once in two days.. so this pail liner is big enough to keep all my usage!
